Roughness < 0,6 micron
THERMAL TREATMENT:
Hardening
In case of low carbon level, heat slowly up to 760-800 °C.
In case of high carbon level, maintain on minimum temperature. Leave the temperature uniforms. Then harden in well stirred (agited) water. Hardness reached after hardening: about 65-68 hrc. The approximate quench hardness is 65 to 68 Rc.
TEMPERING
Proceed with temperatures between 180 °C and 350 °C according to the usage needs and referring to the tempering curve (see below).
PACKAGING
Bars are protected from corrosion by applying a solution of lanolin.
In addition, all bars are carefully packed to prevent damage during handling and transport.
APPLICATIONS
Gauges, spindles, pins, various tools, punches, points, moulds accessories, e.t.c.
