The compression limiters are not thredead inserts designed to protect plastic parts by the loads developed during the screwing of bolts for their fixing, avoiding the plastic components breaking. They are designed according to the customer requirements.
The compression limiters are manually or automatically inserted through pression in holes already present on the plastic component.
The external diameter is bigger than the nominal diameter of the hole and thanks to their slot and their elastic characteristics the compression limiters are able to perfectly fit in the hole and to develop a radial load enough to remain blocked without damages to the housing plastic component.
The compression limiter has a closed slot, is inserted in the mold before the production of the component so that the plastic and the hole take their form around the compression limiter.
They have tight tolerances on the outer diameter, inner diameter and length.
