In memory of Ugo Gandini, on the 30th anniversary of his passing, the 1st Gandini Trophy took place at the Lecco Golf Club. 

Two separate day sof competition featured pairs golf tournaments over 36 holes: the Gandini Cup on Saturday, May 21, and the Ugo Gandini Memorial on Sunday, May 22. These events honored the memory of Ugo Gandini - father of current president Piergianni Gandini - who was not only a successful entrepreneur but also a great golf enthusiast. 

The event saw a massive turnout over the two days, which were uniquely characterized by custom-colored pistons. These replaced the standard tee markers on the course and were later sold in a charity auction to benefit the Italian Red Cross (CRI) - Triangolo Lariano, Asso branch."
